The Tajikistan Chess Federation (TCF) is entering a new stage of development.

We are looking for an Executive Director who can build a strong operating system for the Federation, take chess culture in Tajikistan to a new level, and strengthen the country’s position on the international stage.

Responsibilities:

1. Overall management of the Federation’s activities

2. Developing and implementing the national chess development strategy

3. Organizing and delivering national and international tournaments

4. Liaising with government authorities, sponsors, and international organizations, including FIDE and others

5. Attracting partnerships, investments, and sponsorship support

6. Developing children’s, youth, and professional chess programs

7. Managing the team and building an effective organizational structure

8. Overseeing the budget, financial flows, and project performance

9. Increasing the Federation’s visibility and strengthening its reputation

10. Developing the regional network and infrastructure

What We Are Looking For:

1. At least 5 years of management experience, preferably in sports, education, NGOs, or large-scale projects

2. Proven experience in delivering projects and achieving measurable results

3. Strong management skills, including team leadership, process management, and accountability

4. Experience working with partners, government institutions, and international organizations

5. Fundraising and sponsorship acquisition skills

6. Understanding of strategic and operational management principles

7. Knowledge of the chess community would be an advantage

8. Languages: Tajik, Russian, and English preferred
